Below are answers to some frequently asked questions. Please scroll down to view the response.
What is the benefit of performing simulations?
Since the design will be tested, won't we generate the same information?
What are your normal hours of operation?
How do I set up an appointment?
Can simulations be run overnight and weekends?
A computer analysis can provide the necessary design changes prior to the fabrication of prototypes. It can evaluate design alternatives which can lead to lower part cost, and reduce design cycle time.
It can also identify the weakest areas of a design and margin.
Simulations and testing really go hand in hand. Numerical results can provide infinite measurement resolution which cannot be achieved in the lab. It can guide you to the key areas which should be monitored, and generate confidence that testing will be successful.
Should a problem area be identified during testing without prior analysis, modified parts will need to be fabricated and additional tests will need to occur.
If the cycle is allowed to continue, an analytical model will mature and improve with test result correlation. This only adds to its value on the next design of a similar product.
Our normal hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm EST.
Simply contact us by phone or e-mail. If the problem can be explained via this media, we can discuss any necessary data transfer of system geometry and materials. Otherwise, we will come to your site at no charge.
Absolutely. As long as we have all the information we will do everything possible to meet your schedule.
Generally, FEA can be run in a reasonable amount of time. Conversely, CFD solutions can take hours of computer time, so simplifications may be necessary for extremely tight schedules.
